Looking through phone pics, and found this fuzzy treasure. Boo said it was ok to show you all his belly, boxers and beard with a side of pancakes.
I woke up today so hot and sweaty, and quickly realized part of the reason I was hot, was because a furry lady dog was snuggled right up to my butt, so I reach down to scoot her over and she starts baring teeth and growling at me.
My first reaction is to be mad, so I threw the covers off of her and and told her to get out, (not very nicely) and shut her in the other room.
Then I laid back down and thought ” I probably woke her from a dream, or moved her in a way that startled or hurt her somehow” and started feeling a little guilty for my over the top reaction, and let her back in the room.
So she’s back in bed, I rubbed her belly, she cleaned my ears, and we’re all snuggled up again.
Moral of the story- when you find yourself at odds with someone (or somedog) try to imagine why they reacted the way they did. Give them the benefit of the doubt, and you’ll be surprised how quickly your anger is replaced with love and concern.. And you can move on to forgiveness faster. If you’re lucky, there might be ear kisses involved.
